Tra Que is a charming
little village on the edge of Hoi An, the village is
famous for its sweet scented & green vegetables that
spice up on the daily meals of Hoi An people: Cao Lau
and Quang noodles. Come here, you will have a chance to
discover the art of cultivating and water plants,
tasting and doing a cooking class with local dishes
prepared by host.

One-day
tour:
Our guide will pick up you at the hotel then driving a
JEEP to the village. On the way you enjoy the beautiful
countryside views such as seeing water buffalos, rice
paddle field, birds, beautiful vegetable village like
mints, basils, salad...
On arrival to the reception house, which is made of all
natural materials. Briefly introduction hearing on the
history of the village and the cultivation of the
vegetables. You can get the chance to dress as an old
Vietnamese farmer in which you will be able to prepare
the land by fertilizing it with seaweed from the local
lake, doing activities such as raking, sowing watering
greens, picking greens and many more gardening
activities by using original Vietnamese gardening tools.
You will be given a host family to show you how to
prepare a traditional Vietnamese lunch with some of the
vegetables you have harvest yourself. The lunch will
consist of many local delicacies including `tam huu`
spring roll, 'Banh xeo' or the local pancake from the
middle region.
After your lunch and exertions of the morning, take an
even more traditional post-prandial nap and enjoy the
cool breeze from the river. Around 15.00, bid farewell
to the host family before driving back to the hotel.
Half-day tour:
The same itinerary as for the one day tour. However, the
tour does not include lunch, but you are shown how to
prepare ‘tam huu’ meal.
Other recommendation:
If you don’t want to go
back the hotel. You can spend more time for relax at An
Bang Beach that is not far from the village, about 2km
to the east of Hoi An Town. The beach is over 3 km in
length and up to 300m in width. The beach boasts fine
white sand, clear and blue water, moderate slopes and
small waves, which make it ideal for recreational
activities like swimming and enjoy cheap sea food. The
extra fees for Jeep rental are required.
